Elizabeth Cano is a Paralegal at Contreras Edin & Associates, S.C. who specializes on immigration, criminal and family cases. Her role is to help gather the necessary evidence, draft affidavits and prepare forms with clients and their families. Mrs. Cano has experience working with different matters including asylum, U visas, T visas, family-based petitions, adjustment of status, consular processing, special immigrant juvenile status (SIJS), and VAWA applications. In addition, she provides support and assist the attorneys with bond and removal defense preparation.
Prior to joining Contreras Edin & Associates, S.C., Mrs. Cano began working as a secretary with Sandra K Agvald & Associates, PA. She began working at our office in April 2014 as a Receptionist. Over the years, she has taken on more responsibilities and has obtained many roles as a Legal Assistant and now as a Paralegal. Her passion and motivation in work is to provide joy and happiness to the Latino community.
Mrs. Cano graduated from White Bear Lake South Campus in the year of 2010. After graduation, she obtained her Medical Assistant Certificate at Everest Institute, where she learned hands-on administrative and clinical skills. She is currently pursuing her Paralegal Associate of Science degree at the Inver Hills Community College.
Elizabeth considers White Bear Lake her home town as he has lived there for more than 19 years. She was born in Los Angeles, California, but only lived there until she was 5 years old. On her free time, Mrs. Cano loves to spend quality time at the movies with her daughters Cassey and Bella and her husband Rigoberto.
